Rocky Mountain Community Radio Regional Roundup

Rocky Mountain Community Radio (RMCR) is a coalition of non-commercial radio stations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Member stations broadcast diverse news and music programming. KHEN is a proud member!

RMCR collaborates to produce news and enterprise journalism that connects our communities. In the Spring of 2022, RMCR hired a new Managing Editor and Producer to help coordinate news journalism collaboration and content distribution through our region. These Regional Roundup segments are a result of this collaboration, and are produced by Maeve Conran.

This week’s “Regional Roundup” is a holiday special. We explore unique Christmas traditions and share advice on navigating grief during the holidays. We’ll hear how Angel Trees are helping families in need, and we take a look at Hanukkah celebrations in Boulder at the location of a deadly anti-semitic attack six months ago. We round out the show by hearing about the history and significance of Kwanzaa.
